The first edition of Cookie Canvas marked the beginning of a cultural project created with a clear purpose: to explore Royal Icing not only as a decorative technique, but also as a possible contemporary artistic language.

Hosted at the Aurum – Fabbrica delle Idee in Pescara, the exhibition brought together artists from different backgrounds, united by the desire to experiment with new forms of artistic expression through an unconventional medium.

The theme of the first edition, "Royal Icing Cookies Exhibition – Decorated Cookies Inspired by the Great Masters of Art", invited each artist to reinterpret celebrated masterpieces from the history of art using exclusively Royal Icing. The result was an exhibition where painting, decoration, and artistic research converged, creating original works that established a dialogue between artistic tradition and contemporary creativity.

Cookie Canvas was conceived not as a simple exhibition of decorated cookies, but as a cultural project that encourages reflection on the expressive value of materials and on the artistic possibilities offered by a medium that remains largely unexplored within the contemporary art world.

The exhibition also marked the official debut of DolceFlo Cookie Planet, a cultural association dedicated to promoting Royal Icing through education, exhibitions, research, and cultural outreach.

The exhibited works explored the reinterpretation of the great masters through diverse artistic approaches, demonstrating how technique, sensitivity, and personal vision can transform an unconventional surface into a genuine space for artistic expression.

This first edition represents the starting point of an archive dedicated to documenting the evolution of the Cookie Canvas project, preserving exhibitions, artworks, artists, collaborations, and the stories that will shape its future.
